There is an appealing background to the Cambodia gambling dens that sit just over the border from neighboring Thailand, in which casino gambling is against the law. Eight gambling halls are established in a relatively tiny space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machines and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machine games and 66 of the normal table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel building that contains numerous comforts aside from the gambling den, which provides ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and eighty eight gaming tables.
